The Force Awakens

Kylo Ren
Medium: digital painting
The new villain from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. With some lens flares as a nod to J. J.

Personally, I think there's going to be a lot more to this guy than just a creature in a mask. The scene on the bridge with Han Solo and Kylo Ren really hinted at that, what with half of Ren's face being completely in shadow and the other in light. My theory is that he'll come back in the next movie with some macho scar from Rey and then end up having a change of heart and turn good and save everyone's butts in the end, Darth Vader style. But who knows?

Green Dragon

Leafy Green Jungle Dragon
Medium: digital painting

The Leafy Green Dragon is a tropical species, residing in the steamy jungles and rain forests of the southern hemisphere, such as South America, Australia, and many islands. A smaller-winged subspecies of the Leafy Green also lives in many parts of Asia.

Leafy Greens are relatively small, about the size of a young horse or a large deer. They are agile fliers and climbers, and their flexible hands, feet, and wings enable them to climb through trees and underbrush easily. They use the webbing on their tails to help steer when flying through trees.

Leafy Greens use a a mixture of flammable chemicals to spit fire. These chemicals are secreted in glands in the mouth and catch fire when exposed to oxygen. Leafy Greens have vulnerable underbellies with no scales, so when threatened, they will turn the scaly parts of their bodies to their attackers. Their signature red spines along their backs are hollow, filled with a neurotoxin that causes immediate and intense pain in the victim, although is not fatal in small amounts. These spines are considered valuable prizes amount humans, and thus these dragons are often hunted. Leafy Greens generally only use their venomous spines as a last resort to defend themselves and they never use them on prey.

Leafy Greens generally live alone or in small groups, and are only seen in large, noisy groups during the breeding season. The frills on their necks and backs are used in courtship displays, and males have the brightest-colored frills. Male Leafy Greens use their brightly-colored frills to flare up in display for female dragons. Females lay between 1-3 eggs in a clutch.

The above is a fictional dragon that I designed for fun. :)
