LOTR Horses: Galadriel

LOTR Horses: Galadriel
Medium: digital painting
Here is Galadriel in my LOTR Horses series! She didn't turn out quite as well as I'd hoped; her anatomy is a little off. But oh well!

Pig Dragon

He's ugly and cute at the same time. 😁

Pig Dragon
Medium: digital painting
Pig Dragons are a domestic species of dragon. They are are on the smaller side, about the size of a pony. Their small wings allow them to fly only for short distances. They are ridable, but they generally stay close to the ground when being ridden, due to not being strong flyers. They are omnivorous creatures with a powerful sense of smell. They are very friendly and sociable, and are known for their voracious appetites. Wild pig dragons, sometimes called boar dragons, can be very aggressive. Both pig and boar dragons have thick, scaly hides. They use their spade-shaped noses to root through dirt to find food. Pig dragons breed once a year, producing up to five hatchlings, which the mother cares for until they are nearly mature.

Deer Skull Drawing

Deer Skull
Medium: graphite pencil
Before anyone asks, I didn't kill the deer. It was just an available object to draw. I don't know anything about its past.

Gold's Got Glitz

Cunning Gentleman
Medium: digital painting (Photoshop)

An animal caricature of Mr. Gold (Rumpelstiltskin) from ABC's Once Upon a Time. You may not like him, but you've got to admit: he's got style.

Anti-heroes make the most interesting, colorful characters in my opinion. He's like an onion. The more layers you peel away, the stinkier he gets.

Other Once Upon a Time animal caricatures are here:

Nekomata

Kirara
Medium: digital painting (Photoshop)

The nekomata Kirara, because flaming big cats are awesome. Nekomata, sometimes called Split-Tail cats, are a type of cat youkai from Japanese mythology.

Kirara character is copytight Rumiko Takahashi's Inuyasha.

2014 is the Chinese Year of the Horse! The lantern says (to the best of my knowledge) "horse" in traditional Chinese.

Tessellation

Bears
Medium: Photoshop paint

This is a simple tessellation: when a shape is repeated several or many times with no gaps or empty spaces in-between. Another name for tessellation is tiling.

Phantom Stallion

The Phantom
Medium: Photoshop paint
The Phantom Stallion series, by Terri Farley, was probably my favorite book series when I was younger, and I still enjoy them now! The stories center around Samantha Forster, who lives in Nevada, and her adventures with her friends and family, and the animals she lives with, including the wild Mustangs, her favorite of which is the Phantom, a wild silver stallion that she raised as a colt.

Not Deer

Spookable Medium: digital painting "...and then it stood on its hind legs."
